Miro(formerly known as Democracy Player) makes video on the internet wayless frustrating and way more enjoyable. You can subscribe to channelsof internet video, download videos, and watch them fullscreen, one afterthe other, all in one application. A built-in channel guide brings younew content every day. Its free and open for everyone to watch and tobroadcast.

The Mac version of Miro uses Quicktime 7, which isbuilt into the operating system, to play video. In addition, we useplugins for Quicktime that allow us to play even more video types. TheMac version can play MPEG, MP4, MOV, H264, Flash, Xvid, AVI, OGG, andmore. Also, there is a free extension for OS X that will play WindowsMedia files seamlessly.
